Theoretical approaches to elder abuse: a systematic review of the empirical evidence

Purpose The study of theoretical models explaining elder abuse has been one the main gaps in literature field. extent support each theory is not clear. This aims to conduct a systematic review examine research supporting or opposing six theories abuse: caregiver stress theory, social exchange learning bidirectional dyadic discord and psychopathology caregiver. Design/methodology/approach conducts literature. Seven databases were searched times using different keywords about theory.
